NIMC is in favourable position to service vessels off the Namibian coast. NIMC is contracted-in by an international Marine Fuel Broker. NIMC has the ONLY facility on the West Coast of Africa of this nature, not even Cape Town has this facility.  NIMC collect at sea while normal bunker operations take place. Thus NIMC will fulfil a dual service to vessels collecting slop and supplying bunker fuel. NIMC will provide an important environmental service by collecting oily waste that would have otherwise been dumped at sea. NIMC will also be providing employment to 150 contractors from the Walvisbay area for the construction phase and a normal employment force of 45 people.
